Kim... I haven't dealt with any deaf ferrets, but I did know a deaf dog.  In
the house my friend would *call* her dog by thumping on the floor.  This
probably wouldn't work with a concrete floor but it worked great on wood
floors, even with carpet!  I'm sure the Ferret can feel the thumps as well
as a dog could.  It might be worth a try anyway!
