Here's my statistical sample of two again--
I'm certainly a lot further north than many of those who have observed
their ferrets "blowing out" their coats, but my two are currently shedding
basically the same way cats do, evenly but profusely (she looks down at her
black shirt with chagrin-- someday I'll buy one of those lint roller
thingies.  And then the ferrets will have something new to steal).  So I
don't know if latitude is the only factor in how a ferret sheds.  Just my
two scents worth :-)
