Hi everyone,
My baby Yazbo has recovered very well from her adrenal tumor surgery a few
weeks ago. She is even getting her hair back!! Her pal Mosey-Joe is happy
that she can romp & play with him again. We love them so much we are
planning on checking around here for a rescue from which to adopt another
ferret.
I do have a question, though. Both of my ferrets were vaccinated
(initially) against distemper when we bought them. We never let them go
outside and up until now my cats never went outside at all. Now, since we
live in a 2nd floor apt., we let them sit out on the balcony for fresh air.
I don't believe in letting cats run around outside to become road kill.
Anyway, is it necessary for us to keep up the distemper vaccinations if the
ferrets never go outside? How could they possibly catch it if they never
come in contact with other animals?
Thanks for your input! Email me with any ideas at [log in to unmask]
