Set your VCRs and keep your eyes glued to your TVs, 'cause the CBS News with
Dan Rather is going to air a segment on the ferret legalization issue in
California.  We've got national attention!
 
Some key people in the legalization battle were lined up for interviews by a
correspondent with the CBS News.  Those people will include Assemblyman Jan
Goldsmith (author of House Resolution 37 which passed the State Assembly on
5-16-96), Department of Fish & Game head of the Wildlife Protection Division
(boo... hiss...), Jeanne Carley (Legislative Director, California Domestic
Ferret Association), and Michael Lynch (Pacific Research Institute, author
of "Ferreting out the Facts on the California Department of Fish & Game's
War on the Domestic Ferret").  In addition, a California couple was
interviewed with their two outlaw ferrets and three outlaw ferret guests on
a sleep-over while the owners were on vacation.
 
The show may air as early as Friday, May 31, but could end up airing
sometime next week.  Here on the West Coast, CBS news with Dan Rather airs
at 5:30 PM (PST).  I'm not sure if this is true for the other time zones.
