I have been following the story of Gabriel, the ferret with the back injury
that was brought in to the NH shelter. My heart goes out to that little
guy, but I do have a question - there have been postings suggesting
donations to help defray the medical costs for the care of Gabriel, I have
no problem with that, it's said that Gabriel is going to a specialist and if
that's what he needs, then he should get all the possible care he can get.
But the problem I have is with the suggestion of donations, and then the
next posting states that the shelter owner is going to Florida. I don't
understand, if the shelter owner needs money for the medical care of
Gabriel, how can they afford to go to Florida --- does this make sense?
