Hi, I know exactly what you went through.  I got a 1 1/2 year old ferret
from people that were hitting and locking her in her cage for days at a time
without food or water.  The reason they were givng her away was because she
used to attack everyone that entered the house.  Including her owner.  I was
told she was very mean.  I haven't seen that side of her.  Her name is
Slinky and she deaf but I still love her.  She is very protective of me.
Won't let anyone new come near me but she love attention after she realizes
that nobody will hurt her.  I'm getting another ferret Monday, August 12th
from the Ottawa Ferret Association.  She was abandoned and left outside.
She's underweight just like Slinky but she's going to be gaining weight soon
as I get her.  She's very timid and I'm looking for a name for her.  I'm
glad to here that you gave him a great home.
