Subject:	question for vet/ biting stitches/ male in rut

Is it usual for a vet to charge more to spay a female that has already
started coming in to heat?  Also what can I do to make her leave her
stitches alone? Bitter Apple?  She has already chewed a spot next to her
stitches raw.  How long does it take after I have neutered my male till he
stops mounting and biting my other ferrets?  I sincerely appriecate any
advice.
