Your comments about non profit status were interesting - the part about not
be able to actively involve oneself in political area - but isn't PETA non
profit and don't they do that all the time?
 
Our club has been talking about obtaining non profit status - we did speak
with a lawyer and he didn't mention this part - one thing he did say was
that you have to have 3 years worth of receipts, and officers need to change
every 2 years - could this political activity be at a state level and vary
from state to state?
 
Anybody out there who is non profit care to comment?
