musical ferrets, abused baby

I missed the original post about Dayna's abused adoptee... and I guess
that's a good thing, because all I've picked up are things like "rubber
bands" and "footless" and I almost gagged. But about a name for the
courageous little guy- remember in the early eighties, that guy Terry Fox?
He was a runner who had lost a leg to cancer, but kept running. He ran
across the country on a prosthetic leg to raise money for cancer
research.(Tragically, the cancer spread to his lungs and eventually killed
him, but Dayna's poor ferret must share that degree of valor to still be
hanging in like that....) Just a thought.

This morning I danced with each of my (4) ferrets to Eileen Ivers, a
wicked-good Irish fiddler. Even Casper, who can tolerate being held for
about 2.73 seconds, let me hold him while I bopped around my apartment. I
was amazed. But then I shouldn't be, really, a spunky reel seems just the
thing a ferret would enjoy.
