(Thanks to Bill who pointed out my error).
What my last message *should* have said was `ferrets not being able to
*perspire* and therefore not being able to keep cool'. They *do* pant,
although they do it more like cats -- by the time they start panting, it
means you need to get them cooled off and *fast*. (cats also pant when they
are very nervous, ferrets don't as far as I know, but then they rarely get as
nervous as cats!)
