This is strictly my opinion - I am appalled that a vet would put *any*
surgically-recovering pet - whether it's a dog, cat, ferret, or whatever -
in a cage with another animal. Even mixing boarding animals is negligent-
again, IMO.
While the disease-carrying factor is a big issue, any pet recovering from
any type of procedure should be alone! If an animal has a surgical incision
or has been under anesthesia, why would a vet place one pet with another?
If I found out my vet was doing that, I would switch vets.
