Question: How do you train a ferret not to do something when you can't allow
him to commit the infraction in order to be punished for it? Okay, here's
the problem. Our Mithril has a nipping problem. She's trying to reform,
but she really has a thing for strangers, faces, and kids. Yesterday, I was
snoozing in my bed, and I awoke to find her attached to my nose. I quick
scruffed her before she could roll over (Mithy likes the "alligator" moves),
but I couldn't get her detached for the longest time. Plugging her nose
didn't work, and all I could think was "Gee, how am I going to explain
having a ferret attached to my nose at work tomorrow?" Finally, I pried her
little mouth open and freed myself. I admit I shook her. She knew I was
mad. But I can't let her bite my nose again to reinforce the idea that she
should not do it. What can I do?
Don't you guys DARE laugh at me! I heard that! Grrr...
-Catherine, whose nose looks like it has been stapled
