Hi - first I want to say that the beautiful posts regarding deceased ferrets
make me cry but I'm always gratified to see people who not only love but
respect animals like they deserve.  Second, thanks Rick for remembering the
story line I mentioned belonged to Feist - it was a very good series but I
couldn't remember which one.  If you want to trade Fantasy authoris e-mail
me, I'm always looking for recommendations.  Last I was wondering if any of
the National Ferret Clubs would be interested, or even if this is a
worthwhile endeavor, to come up with some sort of "Ferret Referral
Certification" course that would "certify" layman as having some adjudicated
knowledge about ferrets.  Right know it seems like anyone can go to their
local pet stores, humane shelters etc.  and become a ferret contact/referral
person thereby passing along possibly incorrect information.  (I have seen
this happen in our local pet store by pet store employees).  I was thinking
about approaching the pet store and or humane shelter about a ferret
booth/day but how do they know whether I know anything?  Being a member of a
club doesn't really guarantee anything but a passion for ferrets.  Obviously
some things are a matter opinion but other knowledge could be agreed upon,
taught and tested or something.  Its probably a big undertaking but they
could piggy back on how they train and test judges(?) Any comments?
