hello everyone.

i just read your suggestion, joyce, on how to rig up a non-tippable water
bowl. that's a great idea! i'd like to offer another option for those who
own a ferret cage. my four munchkins have their own room with an
open-doored cage in it, so that they can snooze in their hammock in the cage
when they so please. (yes, i'll be the first to admit that i, like every
one of you, have passed the point of no return, ferretwise. if rod serling
were still around, can you imagine the story he'd produce about us? da DA
DA da, da DA DA da....)

anyway, you know those soup mug things, wide and shallow with a handle?
attach the handle to a bar of the cage with the greatest invention known to
man, a twist-tie. even my ferrets, those clever little devils, can't drag
around a soup mug with a cage attached. not yet, anyway.

i just saw "kindergarden cop" for the first time (on video,) and as soon as
i saw the kid's dad grab him during the fire, i told my hubby "I KNOW WHAT'S
GOING TO HAPPEN! THE FERRET'S GOING TO BITE THE BAD GUY AND HE'LL DROP THE
GUN!" and i'm sure you're asking yourself, "how could this linda person have
such keen insight?" (you are asking yourself that, right?) well, i'll tell
you how! one word - alvin. my beloved little terrorist-in-a-fur-coat.
need i say more?

if you're still reading this (bless your heart,) i would caution you on
sending hate mail. a while back i sent an indignant message to someone on
this list, because i felt that she/he was responding inappropriately to
several well-intentioned messages from others. and i've regretted it ever
since the moment that i hit the "send" button. this person sent back to me
a civil, heartfelt message, which explained that she/he meant no harm
whatsoever. i think she/he may have been sending some negative messages
that she/he regretted, also. i immediately sent back an apology, but the
damage was done. anyway, as i've read this person's messages to the list
since, i've come to realize what an intelligent, sincere person she/he is.
(if you know who you are, ms./mr. person, i apologize again.) i guess we
all have our bad days, so maybe we can overlook them.

i love reading everyone's wit and wisdom here. thanks to you all.
