Can I use Tresaderm?

Hi again,
I would like to know if I can use safely Tresaderm for dogs and cats in
ferrets for ears problem.
 
Two of my ferrets just started to scratch and I think they are loosing some
hair round their ears.
 
I cleaned them and looked inside with the otoscope (Hope it is spelled
right), but I just saw some red and dark red stuff. I don't think they have
ears mite.  Any suggestion?
