Hi,
I finally have some time to introduce myself and add a couple of
comments. My name is Ellen and I live with Taz ( we haven't really
established who ownes who yet. It changes from day to day). Taz is 7
months old and has been with me since August. He is a 4+ lb sable who makes
friends with all the people he meets (which includes a couple of elementaly
school classes - I was soooo proud of him!). He is definately a problem
solver and a teleporter (these are one in the same though). He has even
figured out how to walk without letting his bell jingle and that if he
doesn't move(jingle the bell) Mom may not see him.

We did have a close call last week though. He manager to get himself
pinned and pinched his spinal cord pretty bad. I didn't notice it for
awhile because he never made a sound. We took him to the all night
emergency to get checked and they said that he would be fine. Just really
sore for a while. He is now acting like a ferret again (getting into
trouble) but is MUCH more of a cuddler. One good thing to come of it.

As for nicknames for him, these are the most common: little fuzzy one,
Da Weeesal, and Doodlebop. I remember a while back someone was asking about
words for ferrets in other languages. I am currently taking a Gaelic class
for fun, and looked it up in my dictionary. ferret = firead

This list has really helped me as a beginner to the ferret world. I
can't immagine how long it would have taken me to figure out some of the
tricks I have learned. Thanks!

Taz (Please let me in the sewing room - there are lots of toys in there)
