To Jennifer Sheriff:
Having just gone thru a terrible experience similar to yours myself, my
recommendation is.....TAKE THIS FERRET TO A VET IMMEDIATELY.
Any time a full grown adult steps on an animal that weighs approximately 2 -
3 lbs, major internal damage could be done. Bladders, spleens, stomachs,
intestines, can rupture. My recommendation is an x-ray - a barium x-ray to
be more specific.
In February, I lost my Angel to such an accident - and although she lived
thru the weekend eating and passing normal stool, her stomach had a hole in
it that was plugged by a loop of intestine - which is why she lived as long
as she did - when the loop of intestine came out, the stomach contents
spilled into the abdomen causing peritonitis/septisemia.
So don't mess around with something like this - get to a vet ASAP.
