Tanya,
I find that using a tube and bag of fluids easier than a syringe, as you can
follow the fuzzies movements without moving the needle under the skin too
much.
 
I find that a weel placed distraction i.e. ferretone in front of the
ferret while you "sneak" the needle in is very helpful.
 
I wish you all luck, this is not easy!!
