While I'm not a vet, biolgically, anything with a brain is capable of
suffering a seizure.  The episode described would be considered
partial-complex, and 15 min. is a long time.  Additionally, a 4 hour
postictal state would also be highly unusual.  It certainly is an
interesting question.  Brain tumors have been associated with extended
periods of abberant behavior in humans.  I'd like to hear a DVM comment
on ferret CNS disease.
