Hi again.
I am not sure why but basically only 2 people have responded to my plea for
advice in preparation for a new litter. As it was, I was only able to
converse with one person. The other one, called me from California (I
think) and I am in Ontario Canada. Unfortunately I am not able to thank you
by name or by E-mail because I don't have either one. All I have is two
phone numbers: 510-481-1439 and 510-869-9755 (pager). I have tried to get
back to you but without success. Thank you for trying to contact me. I
sure appreciate your efforts. Thanks also to Vanessa. I also appreciated
your help.
I am still interested in hearing from others, especially about what you did
when a mother couldn't nurse and there is no surrogate mother. What did you
feed them and how much and how often? I just don't want to repeat the
tragedy of last summer. I want to be prepared.
One other question concerns skinny ferrets. We actually have two that are
overweight and they are on a special weight control diet. According to the
FML posts, for underweight ferrets you can feed them Nutri-cal, Susti-cal,
Deliver, Ensure, and Duck Soup. Except for Duck Soup (I have the recipe for
that) and Ensure (I got that at a drug store), where do you get the other
stuff? Do I have the correct items? Is there anything else that you can
use? How much and how often do you feed each of them for I would imagine
that each one would have different amounts.
Thanks in advance for your help. If you call, I am at the # below,
Mon.-Fri. from 8:30-4:30.
