HI all,

To whomever thought closets were cruel.. Maybe some are, but I have been
lucky in several places I've lived that not only had walk-in closets, they
were closets with *windows*. They had fresh air, light, a *lot* of space to
play, It was much nicer than any cage I've had. I thought it was a perfect
solution.... they couldn't be allowed free run when I wasn't home because
other people sometimes came into the flat. At another place I lived there
was a huge coffin display closet.... [the kind that a coffin would be in
for a home wake. very old house as you can tell] We took the doors off, and
placed the cages on the floor facing into the living room. Again, lots of
light, and not in a traffic flow. In that place though, they had to be
caged. I was having problems with ferret wars. My sterling female would
get the stuffing beaten out of her by an albino [which I had been given by a
friend] if they were out at the same time. Anyhow, the point is that not
*all* closets are bad.

What to call a group of ferrets. My vote goes for :

        frolic of ferrets
        frenzy of ferrets
        mischief of ferrets
        thundering herd

It's amazing how *much* noise those little tiny feet and bodies can make
running around. :) [especially when you're underneath them when they're on
a bare hardwood floor. Thank God my last landlord thought it was funny]
