Granted this is not proof that chocolate is not toxic to ferrets, but when
Grendel was just a month old he ate an entire king-size Hershey's bar
(didn't think the little bugger could scale his way to the top of the
bookcase).  For dogs, this is supposedly enough chocolate to kill a German
Shepard.  For ferrets, Grendel ate a candy bar twice as big as he was (where
*did* he put it all?  hollow legs?) and didn't even act as if he was ill (I
know I would be ill if I ate a candy bar twice as big as I was).
