Maybe its just me, but ALL of our ferrets that we adopted as babies got
the hiccups...plus my human son (1) got the hiccups in utero and has had
them frequently ever since birth.

Our ferret children seem to have grown out of the hiccups. The only time
the adults seem to get them is after prolonged scuba-diving in the Christmas
tree water. Once Molly got them when I startled her into screaming when I
came around a corner when she wasn't expecting me.

Marya, the mom and Christmas tree rescue squad.
Zach (1) human baby, and ferret-lover
Molly (4) queen fuzzie, Emma (4) the enforcer, Grover (3) Christmas diver,
Boo-Boo (3) Christmas diving champion (23 dunks in succession!)
