I'm not a vet, but I have experienced more than one blockage....  Yes they
can still doodle.....  yes symptoms can come & go (had one have the problem
on and off for 2 months....  finally took her in.....  vet found a little
piece of rubber in the stomach that every so often blocked the
intestines)...  They also can sometimes not be seen in xrays.....  If you
suspect a blockage....  have it checked out....  the longer it goes the
worse it gets and the weaker the animal is for the surgery.......
