Hi all,
        First we had a run of ferrets passing on to The Happy Dooking
grounds, now we have a run on new ferrets. My aged carpet shark will be
joining the others within a few months, most likely. Knowing this, and
fearing being ferretless for the first time in nearly twelve years, I
started hunting for another ferret. I convinced my SO that this was
really what I wanted for my birthday, so earlier this evening [after a
few days looking] I came home with a beautiful little sable female about
eight weeks old. She is calmer than your average kit of that age, and
like my very first ferret, she is very kissy and cuddly. She sits in my
lap and watches TV [I think all the motion on the screen makes her
uneasy, so she keeps an eye on it] or climbs up onto my shoulder and
winds herself into my hair. Not only is she good with me, she is cuddly
with him as well. My old man V'orri is a one woman ferret. He used to
bite everyone except me. He no longer seems to do this now that he is
aging and ill. {Although he seems *real* interested in the new girl.
Maybe it will perk him up.} Only problem I am having is convincing myself
to put her down and let her adjust :).
        Anyhow, I am looking for a name. The SO suggested Kayla. Is
anyone else using this name? I'll be delving into my sci-fi and fantasy
books plus anything else I think might be inspirational. :)
        For Manuel : I am 33, V'orri is almost 6-1/2, the nameless baby
is about 8 weeks old.
 
Just had to boast. I am absolutely thrilled with my birthday present :)
