Hi everyone

I have been reading the list postings for some time now as my husband and I
wanted to get a ferret but were not sure if there is many difficulties with
having one. We got one this weekend in Nevada, and now I have a couple
questions to anyone out there in Northern California. I know that even
though California is a FFZ, there are a lot of ferret owners out here, so
could anyone recommend a vet???

Our ferret is 6 weeks old and she had her 6 week distemper shot, I guess
she needs another one at 9 weeks and 12 weeks and then at 16 weeks she
should get a rabies shot, is that true?

Is it OK to leave her roaming around the living room with the entrance to
the stairs and the kitchen blocked while we are at work???

I would greatly appreciate any ideas.
By the way, she is the sweetest thing, and I can't complain about the lack
of affection.

Thanks,

Gosia :-)
