Hi Guys,
Yahooo I got a nice little shock a few days days ago.  My tiny RACY that I
knew was malnourished when she came to me weighed in at just under 1 1/4
lbs.  then !  That was just about 5 weeks ago now and so I fed her the
highest quality of kiten chows mixed like the rest but she received
supplements of Nutrical & Nutristat also.  I was so surprised due to her
just slurping the stuff down directly from the tube and boy would she put
a lot down her before she had enough.... I think it was maybe 5 days ago I
gathered her up and plunked her in my medium sized food scale and by GOD she
is now at 1 1/2 lbs. and possibly a tad more than that too.....  Five d ays
have passed so who knows how much she may weigh now......  I am so very
relieved since it would certainly seem to have been no more than too little
nutrition in her previously provided diet, I was a little worried about
possible adrenal disease or something else real serious that would cause
weight loss too.......  She's just my little chub chub now (just kidding)
and she has gained it evenly spread throughout the bod and not pearshaped as
I've heard can happen.....
 
Doc. W. how do you guesstimate what the proper weight for a specific baby
should be???  Can you take length and bone structure as a guideline to
arrive at some reasonable weight ?  She still slurps her Nutri's down like
no tomorrow but I don't want her to get OVERweight now!  That would be bad
too, so should I start weaning her off the "yummy" bit by bit or what?

I got that Lab Ferret Food I mentioned and they all eat it up mixed w/the
rest of the top kitten chows.  Running out of time tonite so I will list
it's ingredients in their entirity for tomorrow's edition.  Doc.  I would
very much like to know how good this food should be according to that
listing....
