To Regina Harrison:
> On the Petromalt label, it says that the product is not to be given

>food in the stomach prevent it from working?
Not totally, but it will diminish its effective. Petromalt is made to
coat hair and make it therefore have enough body to pass furthe on down
the tract or be coughed up. However, if it is given on a full sotmach,
the petrolatum just gets all caught up and mixed up in the food, and goes
down the tract that way, never getting to the hair to coat.
