Hello fellow ferret lovers,
I am a new member to this mailing list, I LOVE IT. I have been reading and
responding to letters for a couple of weeks now. I had no intention of
writing anything today, but i just got home from a frightning experience. I
took one of my two ferrets, Lucy, to pick my boyfriend from school. Usually
we always put her in a carry-box, we bought for them, but since it was just
a two minute drive i decided to just take her with her leash so i could hold
on to her. Everything was going great, until after a few minutes that i was
parked she started to make some gaging movements and lots of bubbles-foam
was coming out of her mouth. She hadn't been anywhere's in the car to eat
something and it wasn't hot (i live in Canada!)... so i just don't know
what caused this. This went on for at least ten minutes. When i got home i
tried giving her water but she didn't want any, so i splashed some on her
head, this way she might drink a little bit. After five minutes of being
home she calmed down and it stop.. could it be that she was just very
scared and panicked?? I don' know but that's the last time i take her or
Antha out without their carry-box. Anybody with comments on this please
write me. PS My ferrets have all their shots.
Thanks, [log in to unmask]
