A classic for anyone who loves animals is "Kinship with all Life" by J.
Allen Boone. I guarantee this book will touch your heart and make you
think!! (even includes a skunk named Zephyr)
Two of my favorite books when an animal dies: "I'll Always Love You" is a
children's book about the death of a beloved dog. No matter how many times
I read it, I'm always choked up. Wonderful book for the loss of any animal.
Also, "Badger's Parting Gifts" is a beautiful children's book about death,
suitable for the death of an animal or a person. Another "children's" book
that will touch adults as well.
I am always on the lookout for inspiring books about positive animal/human
relations, or communicating with animals. Would love to hear anyone's
suggestions; please e-mail. Sorry this isn't about ferrets, sort of
generic animal stuff...
