Eye problems are not very common in ferrets. It would helpp to know how
old your ferret it - is he(she?) a true baby or an adult? In that location
I have seen several tooth root infections which ruptured through the jawbone
and skin (sounds more serious than it is, but required pulling the tooth.
The skinunder the eye can also be the site of a small skin tumor which might
bleed, or an area of trauma. Is the eye itself involved, or is it simply
the haired skin around the eye?
