Hi all,

I took my guys to the vet today for vaccinations and to start them on
heartworm preventative. She told me that the information in the FAQ did not
agree with the recent literature. Apparently the FAQ gives a dosage per
pound that is the same as the dosage per kilogram given in her book(i.e. 1
mg/lb vs. 1mg/kg). We decided to wait until we could determine the correct
dosage and also the correct way to put the ivermectin into solution. If
anyone has any detailed information on this, please send it to me. Thanks
for all your help in this and all other matters.
[Moderator's note: There's an article by Dr. Weiss which is posted in Dr.
Williams' web page that says 10mcg/lb, so different yet again. BIG]

Valerie
