This would have been very helpful to the Maryland folk working on this
issue.  I'll try to make sure that those involved get this info.  One active
person is on this list so I'll probably be re-informing them.  Thanks.

You're going to be disappointed.  You call that dark stripe down the head...
a dark stripe down the head.  This isn't a named pattern.  In the AFA color
standard (and the others I'm also familiar with) this is just a feature not
part of any pattern.  Most of the named patterns are color distribution or
white markings.
 
Black isn't normally expected to be a color on a chocolate colored ferret
but I've seen it many times - though not usually such a stripe.
