Just to add my own personal experience to the discussions, I've always
found that my ferrets dislike the taste of Carafate less than they do
that of Pepto Bismol.  Less stress to the ferret, less foaming so that
you're not sure if they've ingested the entire amount, and, IMHO, a more
effective product for ulcers.  For me, Carafate over Pepto Bismol any
day!
