It struck me that many of you will be too young to
know the Lovin' Spoonful and their songs. Let me
recommend them! The group was the start for
some fine musicians whose current music you
very likely will know. In fact, I recently noticed
that their 'Best of' is showing up at extremely
low prices, and you can learn the tunes for the
Loving Handful's songs (except for the enclosed
and the show tunes which were West Side Story
and Annie, Get Your Gun pieces) from it.
(BTW, when I get I chance I want to do Silver
Bells, Frosty, Dad caught Mommy ..., and
Winter Wonderland, as well as some of the songs from South Pacific, and some
Gilbert and Sullivan
(Why aim low?) IF I can find the tunes to all
(Have G.&S, and S.P..). Should one of you beat me
to it, we will just have many verses! In fact, feel
free to add to any Loving Handful songs!

Now, for a limited time only! We are offering
tickets to the Loving Handful's Holiday Tour!

O Christmas tree, I'll set you free of ornaments
        and tinsel
O Christmas tree, you bear such treats as candy
        canes and mints; L.
Is eating them and I'll be blamed
For his hob acts; he should be shamed
O Christmas tree, a sprite should be able to make
        them think well

chorus: Jingle bell
                On mousie tells
                When Spot hides it away
                For ferrets during playtime it's
                        Christmas every day

Dashing round the room
We haven't got all day
Things go bang and boom
We know how to play

Let's climb up the tree
Tinsel's hung too high
What fun it is to cheat and steal, and mess
        and jump and lie

Ohhhhhhhh!

chorus: Jingle bell
                On mousie tells
                When Spot hides it away
                For ferrets during playtime it's
                        Christmas every day

Steve, Ruffie, Spot and I all have a stupid virus so I am very, very,
very flaky (nothing new there). Meltdown, 'Chopper, Meeteetse and
Warp are giving us a wide berth. (Oh, #@**^, now you know that I grew
up on a harbor (Port Jeff) and come from an old shipping (defunct) and
Navy blood line (Bruce will rail me even though they wouldn't take me
in '68 'cause of my allergies, but I cut my teeth on a WWII Blue
Jacket's Manual) No wonder I can out-curse most anybody and eventually
want a house with a widow's walk; it's from having salt water instead
of blood.) Hey, Bruce! I'm firmly convinced that young ferrets'
attitudes are due to their aspirations to swagger around ports, or to
become test pilots, or to beat Loudenslager's national aerobatics
record (This is why their cluck sounds are drawn out -- it's
Yeagering, and I swear I've seen them lumshivak!) For those who have
never seen the latter: the Sussex, N.J. Air Show will be 8/25-27.
Then you WILL understand! !!!!) Navy and Air Force blood against the
world! (Okay, the rest -- humorous replies telling why they are
instead members of your family's force, school, peace march, Rotary,
etc! That's a challenge! Let's grin!)

Fairies given shape
Spins and swirls throughout the room
Joyous ferrets fey

P.S. Troy-Lynn, If it's not in a doorway as in many old houses put
together a table or plant stand with closed sides to 3 to 4 feet and
then lattice on rest of sides and top to keep ferrets from register.
You'll have return air then, albeit a bit warmer than floor level air.
