I believe the Michigan breeder being referred to in Wednesday's post is Micki
Wingate, who owns Checker Farms.  While I haven't *yet* owned a ferret from
her farm, my husband and I are just waiting for the latest batch to be old
enough and then we can let you know.  We have done a lot of asking, and all
the remarks about her Farm have been favorable.
From personal experience, she does really seem to care.  She knows exactly
what babies she has.  She is willing to talk to you at length about
purchasing a ferret and ferrets in general.   My overall impression has been
that she really does *care* about her ferrets, and that this isn't something
she does just to make a buck.
