One of ours, Jagger, has a unique talent/compulsion that we think funny.  We
have a coffee table in our living room that we throw our new mail,
magazines, and tabloid sized weekly newspapers on.  I get very behind and
things can pile up (I can't believe I've ended two straight sentences with a
preposition).  Jagger has a uncanny knack for knowing when something new is
added to any of the piles the instant he walks into the room.   He
unerringly and purposefully  walks over, stands up, bites the newbie, and
pulls it, and only it, down to the floor.  He then rolls in it and otherwise
screens it(this is a very solemn act).  Once it has been verified, it is
never bothered again.  The latest to get the treatment was the new issue of
Modern Ferret.  Looked like he wanted to read it.  Next time an issue
arrives, I'm going to get the camera ready and see if he can become a
trading card.

PS  Did Bill, Susie, Rocky, and Squeekers ever take a great front page
photo!  Worth way more than 1,000 words on how sweet ferrets are.
