From KBT:
< I don't know about your ferrets, but whenever I go into the bathroom,
<Sunshine comes running in (full tilt) and leaps up onto the edge of
<the tub and in (so that I can pour a little *fresh* water for her).
They must know something about bath water that we don't; one lick from your
wet skin is worth a million from the bathtub is worth a million from the
water bottle. I haven't caught 'em yet, but I suspect they've been drinking
out of the toilet, too. Showing 'em that it's the same stuff that's in their
cage doesn't register on them. Of course, trying to show them *anything* is
a waste of time. Maybe they take an interest in things because we do, and
for no other reason. Why else would they prefer dirty laundry to clean?
(Could be smell, I suppose...) The ferrets and I are the only ones willing
to face *my* dirty socks. It's too bad their enthusiasm towards soiled
laundry can't be bottled.
From R.Liptak:
<Mine just back right up onto the food dish and let loose! :o I use
<newspaper- easy to clean up- just put down next day's sports section.
As Marie Antoinette might have said...
And you watch it with that sports section stuff, you...female. Why do
women always line cages with the SPORTS section first? I think there's some
spite mixed in there, somehow. Come on now -- admit it.
Hey! Maybe your ferrets LIKE sports! You might try the fashion section
instead; I'll bet Judy & Timmy have the sense to wizz on *that* hooey.
