I have been extremely busy with Cody and his surgeries and have not had a
chance to write. With Cody's recent tumor surgery on top of his bladder
surgery this month, its been a terrible time!

Thank you to everyone who has contacted me recently with advice on Cody's
condition. Cody had surgery on May 30 for two tumors. It was a two-hour
surgery. He had one on his right adrenal (270 degrees wrapped around his
vena cava--bad news) and one on his pancreas (insuloma). The adrenal tumor
was very malignant but no metastasis was seen (It was the first malignant
adrenal tumor the vet had ever heard of). The other tumor was unable to be
determined malignant or benign. I regret not requesting a sample for Dr.
Williams to analyze.

Cody came home after two days in the hospital, but would not eat. I pureed
some "Duck Soup" from the FAQ and gave it to him by eyedropper but he acted
like it was poison (boy, does he have strong jaws!). He would not drink any
water also. He just wanted to sleep. On Saturday he went back to the vet
and was put on subcutaneous fluids (about 30cc/day). I am still giving him
this although it is pretty scary to stick a needle in such a skinny animal.
He responded the next day and began eating!! He was also put on Nutri-Cal
for nourishment. However, last night he had a seizure. He also vomited all
that he had eaten that night. I gave him some dissolved glucose tablet in
water and he seemed to do better. He was eating again this morning.

Questions?
1) Why did he have another seizure with the tumor removed?
2) Anyone ever have a _malignant_ right adrenal?
3) Any suggestions on how to force feed a ferret if he will not eat again?

Thank you again to all who have helped! I sincerely appreciate you
taking the time to write!
