To Mary at Modern Ferret: while our fuzzies are indifferent to many of their
toys, they each occasionally pick one that is "theirs" and do much the same
as yours, i.e., hide it, dig it out once in a while, run around the room with
it, and run & hide if they see you coming!  For Anastasia, it's a
cloth-catnip mouse with a bell; Goose had one that sounds like the same exact
thing as your Ralph's, but lately he's fixated on another cat toy; a carpeted
board, from which two plastic rings are suspended from long springs that
stick straight up in the air.  It's rather large and awkward, and watching
him drag it around and struggle to get it under the furniture is hilarious!
BTW, they too do the front-paw-drag-thing with balls and even other toys.
