Excel cat food is the store's generic brand of "premium" pet food.  I bought
some Authority (another like brand) kitten food the other day and the
ferrets and cats like it.
 
Basically, if the first ingredient is poultry or it's by-product, the
protein is 32%+ and the fat content is 18-22%, it is good for ferrets.  I
STILL recommend a mix of quality foods (2 or 3) for variety and balance.
