I was wondering if lasix has any side effects? Tygger (2.5 pounds, five
months old) has been taken 1/4 of a 12.5 mg lasix pill twice a day for almost
two weeks now to treat cardiomyopathy. The first week he was on it he seemed
pretty normal, and his coughing completely stopped. And while he hasn't
coughed this second week, he sure doesn't seem like the same old Tygger.
Before, as soon as he got out of his cage he'd start happily dooking loudly
and want to play with us for hours, now he just seems tired and depressed.
He doesn't dook, and while he'll investigate the room he really doesn't want
to play either, with us or with his sister. OH! And while he lays around a
lot more than normal, he's really listless either lays there awake and stares
ahead or wakes very easily.
Could this be from his medicine? The cardiomyopathy? Something else? He
seems to be eating/pottying normally. And of course I'm crazy worried, like
always! :)
Thanks,

Pam- You mentioned in one of your posts that three was the perfect number of
ferrets to have. Why? Now you've got me curious and wondering if we should
adopt another baby...
I'm wondering if this Ferret Union (shh don't tell my fuzzies!) awards a
most eccentric humans award? If so, can I put my husband's and my names in
the running? Believe it or not we are thrilled to be moving mainly so that
our little Tyg and Pooh can have their own room complete with fun center,
tubes, deluxe four story condo and all the amenities. And I thought I was
an eccentric pet owner before I had ferrets!!! Now everyone thinks we're
nuts! Perhaps instead I should put Tyg and Pooh's names in as "Most
Spoiled Ferrets"?!? If I only would have known three months ago how much
these little guys would change our lives!
