Mike - stop with the dip business and switch to a natural flea inhibitor like
Dr. Bronner's Peppermint castile Soap - health food store.  See if that helps.
 
also, be careful of the cream being applied near the eye - I have no
allergies that I know of, but my eyes swelled shut one night after applying
cortesone cream too close to my eyes on a cut near them.  I use aloe gel now
if there is something near my eyes.
