That was probably my post on the mane and tail conditioner.  We use it
especially in the winter when their skin tends to dry out.  I rub a blob on
my hands and work it into their coats.  At first it looks really greasy, but
with a little rubbing and time it give a nice shine and a soft coat.  If
you're bathing every 2-3 weeks, you may want to try it year round to keep the
skin from drying too much.  We bathe ours only about every 4-6 months.  We do
use Avon Skin So Soft in the rinse water too.  Gives their coat a lot of
luster.  Ferret coats do tend to differ, not only between different ferrets,
but even in the same ferret over time.  Sometimes it seems coarse and after
the next shedding may come in very soft.
