To Sarah:
I can't really comment on the 'tumors' you speak of - that's really a vet
question - although I did have 2 ferrets with fat pads under their front
legs where they joined the body, and after several biopsies, they were dx'd
as just that - benign fat.
I do worry about your choice of a low activity cat chow. Ferrets NEED extra
fat, and most low active diets contain about or less than 10% fat - way too
low for a ferret. Personally, I don't believe that usine a food with less
fat will in any way shrink those fat pads, if that's what they are.
My advice would be to use a good quality cat or ferret food - like Iams
Kitten, Totally Ferret, Proplan Kitten, Marshall Premium Ferret Diet - and
have those tumors rechecked by a vet.
