Sleepy Ferret

Is it usual for a ferret to slow down in the winter? "Woody" is about two
years old, and is normally pretty wired, but lately has been sleeping most
of the day away. Our other ferret passed away at about the same time as
this behavious started, so we aren't sure whether it is the snow (Canadian
ferrets!) or a broken heart. Any suggestions?
