Hi. Animalerie Dauphin, a pet store in Canada, is considering halting the
use of cedar chips as bedding (substituting cedar bedding for "ferret
sleeping bags" from a local ferret shelter) if they receive documented
information from veterinarians (or experienced personel in the ferret
"business" i.e. breeders, conservationists, vets in training, scientists,
shelter authorities, etc...) that cedar is indeed harmful to the
respiratory system.

I have brought them a copy of Dr. Williams article as set out on pgreene's
web brouser and downloaded the ferret faqs for them. They prefer the
information to be in french BUT will also accept english documentation.
Please, all your assistance is appreciated and deeply needed. Thank you for
your help.

P.S. Dr. Williams, if you have the time, could you drop them a personal
note? Thank you all again. ---Glor (diploma conservation: wildlife &
