First finding a knowledgeable vet can be very easy. Simply contact one of
the Shelters, clubs in Pam Grants S.T.A.R. listing - these people are a very
good source as these people have hunted out the best Ferret Vets.

Second you can always E-Mail AGEDOG and she will endeavor to find a ferret
vet in your area.

Thirdly and most important. A really good vet is there for you and your
ferret 24 hours a day. I have had 2am, 3am and 4am emergencies - my vet is
always there for us. So many time's I've had to call her at home in the
middle of the night - and she always reasponds!!!! I've been to the
Emergency room 6 times over the last year between 10pm and 5am with various
ferret emergencies. A true Vet choose this Career because they really really
really care about animals.
