Just had to share this one. Last night I was cleaning Pogo's big cage, so
all of his toys and bedding were out, and he was in a frenzy of playing
(Toys! Free! Save Them!). Meanwhile, Jurrasic Park was on TV (with sound
coming through the stereo) in the background, and it was just at the point
where the T-Rex enters. At the first thud, Pogo stopped and looked around.
Then, as the Rex made its first appearance, Pogo's nearsighted little eyes
caught the TV. He proceeded to dash at it and leap up to it 5 or 6 times.
I have never seen a ferret respond to the set before, but the T-Rex
definitely caught him. I know that carpet sharks can kill cows, but I have
never seen one try to take down a Rex before!

For those who helped - Pogo and Slinky are now playing non-stop. Pogo has
grown considerably stockier than Slinky, and now appears to be winning most
of the "fights," but Slinky seeks him out all of the time. They're not in
the same cage yet - I have tried it a few times, but Pogo just won't let
Slinky settle down without pouncing on him or going for his ears. Any
suggestions on how this final stage of the socialization is done?

Best - Mason, Slinky ("Dad, does he have to take all of my toys?"), Pogo
("I can get that Rex - let me at him!"), and Leila the cat.
