Charlene: The photo that accompanied the article in the NY Times was a
BLACKFOOTED ferret. That's why the hand in the picture was gloved. I'd want
my hand to be gloved if I were holding a wild animal too : - )).  Still, they
could have chosen a more appropriate photo.
